Firoz Mahmud Khan was born in 1974 at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital of North Bengal. He inherits a literary family and his mother Fazilatunnesa is a renowned short story/Writer authored more than 15 books. With like minded friends Firoz made a study circle and published little magazine shuchintya (1988–89) while a student of high school, and consequently that studycircle comes out as Anantyer Shure (1996) while a student of university. Firoz has edited little magazine Anahtyer Shurelin 1996 and 2005. Firoz is a Notre Damien and he had been an active member of Notre Dame Nature Study Club, Notre Dame Rover Scout Club and Notre Dame Debating Club. Besides these, Music, Drama, Paintings and Spirituality are his favorite subjects Firoz has already translated into Bangla poems of W. B. Yeats, T.S. Eliot and Robert Frost; and, on the other hand; Baul Lalan Fakir, Talim Hossain, Samar Sen, Shubhas Mukhapadhyay, Shakti Chattapadhyay, Shunil Gangapadhyay, Abul Hasan, Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, Al Mahmud, Rafiq Azad, Tushar Das, Habibullh Shiraji and other poets in English. Firoz is also editing the little magazine Shuchintya Ecotourism Literature.
